BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – A fatal two-vehicle collision on Jonesville Road early Friday morning has claimed the life of a Quincy woman and left a Coldwater man injured.
According to the Branch County Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 5:13 a.m. Friday morning , deputies responded to the crash scene near Ridge Road.
A preliminary investigation indicates that a vehicle driven by 67-year-old Janet Murray of Quincy collided head-on with an eastbound vehicle driven by 51-year-old Travis Morrow of Coldwater.
Murray sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene, while Morrow was transported to Insight Health with minor injuries.
The circumstances in what caused the crash remain under active investigation by the Branch County Sheriff’s Office, which has stated in a release that additional information will be released as it becomes available.
First responders from multiple local agencies assisted at the scene of the accident. Assisting departments included Coldwater Public Safety, Life Care Ambulance, the Quincy Fire Department, and Branch County Central Dispatch.
