COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – No rain is in the forecast over the next several days which will allow things to dry out after five straight days of rain in Branch County.
Charlie Hoff from Hoff’s Farm Market just north of the Coldwater says he has measured 3.75 inches of rain since last Friday.
There have been reports of some locations south of I-96 getting nearly four inches of rain which has caused rivers and streams to rise.
Due to the recent excessive rainfall and the height of lake waters, Branch County Drain Commissioner Michael Hard says they are asking boaters and those on personal watercraft to use common sense and courtesy so that they don’t create an excessive wake which would impact property owners.
High water has affected Pilot Knob once again after flood waters and the failure of some utilities in February forced a voluntary evacuation.
The Walmart parking lot also flooded and there was high water in the field just north of the Branch County Road Commission office on South Clay.
