COLDWATER, MI 9WTVB) – The Clemens Food Group facility in Coldwater has been named a winner in ProFood World magazine’s 2018 Manufacturing Innovation Awards.
The fresh pork processing facility which opened last September is the first greenfield project for Clemens in its 123 year history.
It only took Gray Construction 28 months to build the facility, which produces 12 million pounds of pork per week.
The judging criteria for the awards include the plant’s high level of technology advancement in processing and packaging machinery, major efficiency and cost-savings, flexible manufacturing and food safety.
The award will be presented to Clemens Food Group June 21, 2018 in Chicago during the ProFood Live conference.
