COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – In a key Interstate 8 Conference track and field showdown Tuesday afternoon, the Coldwater boys team topped Harper Creek 83-80. Coldwater sophomore Dylan Targgart broke his own school record in the shot put with a distance of 61′-5 1/2″.
Other Coldwater winners were Matt Gipple (100), Adam Bailey (200, 400, 300 hurdles), Shuaib Aljabaly (800, 1600, 3200), Cole Targgart (discus) and Hamza Muflihi (pole vault)
Harper Creek beat Coldwater in the girls meet 89 ½,-73 1/2. Coldwater winners were Elka Machan (1600), Kaci White (shot put and discus) and Claire Sheppard (high jump and long jump). Coldwater also won the 800 relay.

Coldwater’s Emily Foulk won her number two singles match in straight sets. The Cardinals also got their points from the number three doubles team of Payton Molnar/Mikaela Daoud and the number four doubles team of Amber Aguirre of Mae Blansit.
