UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – Branch County will be one of 66 counties in the state where voters will be deciding tax requests on Tuesday but not everybody in the county will be voting.
The only issue on any Branch County ballot will be in the Union City Community School District where voters will be asked to renew a building and site sinking fund millage of one mill for six years.
The estimate of the revenue the school district will collect if the millage is approved and levied in 2019 is about $862,500
This only affects voters in Batavia, Girard, Matteson, Sherwood and Union Townships in Branch County as well as Athens, Fredonia, Burlington, Newton and Tekonsha Townships in Calhoun County.
As usual, the polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m..
