COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Local hunters can help feed families in need this season by donating their deer to the Branch Area Food Pantry.
Sponsored by the Coldwater Noon Club, this community program covers all processing fees, ensuring there is no cost to the participating hunters.
To take part, hunters simply need to field dress their harvested deer and transport it directly to one of the designated local meat processors collaborating with the initiative.
Three area businesses are currently accepting donations for the program across Branch County. Participants can drop off their field-dressed deer at Thompson’s Deer Processing located at 252 W. Pearl Rd. in Coldwater, Wonders Deer Processing at 748 Slisher Road in Bronson, or Finley’s Deer Processing at 234 Ridge Road in Quincy.
By utilizing these local processors, community members can easily contribute high-quality venison to help stock the food pantry’s shelves and support local families facing food insecurity.
