PITTSFORD, MI (WTVB) – Pittsford Area Schools were placed on a Hard Lock Down on Friday after school officials notified Hillsdale County Central Dispatch that they were investigating a suspicious incident involving a student and the possibility of a gun being on school grounds.
A news release from the Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Office indicated a weapon was never on school property
The Sheriff’s Office says it was later determined the student had been seen off school grounds and at that time the school was moved to a soft lockdown until the student could be located.
The student was eventually found by deputies at his home.
The Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the incident.
