UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – First it was the severe thunderstorm Wednesday night, now it’s high winds that have caused some power outage issues today.
A large number of outages at midday were reported in the Burlington-Union City area.
Consumers Energy reported nearly 2,300 customers were out in Calhoun County with another 359 out in St. Joseph County.
Over 33,000 customers were out system wide.
Calhoun County was included in a High Wind Warning by the National Weather Service until 6:00 p.m. Friday due to gust expected to get as high as 60 miles an hour.
Branch County was placed under a Wind Advisory for gusts up to 50 miles an hour.
