COLDWATER TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) Two people were injured on Wednesday afternoon following a single-vehicle rollover accident in Coldwater Township
. According to a press release from the Branch County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the area of North Union City Road near North Lake Drive at approximately 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a 63-year-old Coldwater woman was driving a Kia Soul southbound when she attempted to navigate a curve at a speed greater than the posted limit, causing her to lose control and flip the vehicle onto its side.
A 49-year-old woman from Colon was also riding inside the vehicle as a passenger at the time of the crash, both occupants sustained what are suspected to be minor injuries and were transported by LifeCare Ambulance Service to Insight Coldwater Hospital for medical treatment.
First responders assisting the Sheriff’s Office at the scene included Branch County Central Dispatch, the Coldwater Police Department, LifeCare Ambulance Service, and the Coldwater Fire Department.
