COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Republican Senate nominee for Michigan Mike Rogers says he’s getting support from coalitions that traditionally lean Democrat because they’re worried about his opponent, Democrat Abdul El-Sayed.
Appearing on CNN’s State of the Union, Rogers says El-Sayed has not disavowed extremist group the Muslim Brotherhood and is his campaign is still being funded by groups sympathetic to their cause.
Rogers also says he understands affordability is top of mind with voters, but Democrats in the state haven’t helped consumers.
He pointed to a 70-cent gas tax holiday, while Democrats in Lansing opposed it.
