COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Coldwater man was ordered to serve between 23 months and four years in the Michigan Department of Corrections Monday in Branch County Circuit Court for his involvement in child pornography.
47-year-old Travis Robert Thomas entered a guilty plea to being in possession of child sexually abusive material as part of a plea bargain with Branch County Prosecutors.
He was arrested last January following a Michigan State Police internet investigation.
Thomas is a registered sex offender with the State of Michigan after he was convicted of second degree criminal sexual conduct with a disabled person in Monroe County back in 1999.
In exchange for his guilty plea, prosecutors dropped a charge of using a computer to commit a crime.
Thomas was given credit for 116 days already served in the Branch County Jail.
