COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – With Branch County planning to spend $1-and-a-half million over the next couple of years to fix various infrastructure issues in county buildings, the Branch County Board of Commissioners have been presented with a list of proposed projects.
The list identifies major proposed projects to be prioritized in 2027 for seven of the County’s eight facilities. Discussion during last Thursday’s Commissioner work session included the need to enclose the Duperon system at the Branch County Jail. It was felt the work should have been completed as part of the original jail construction but was inadvertently overlooked.
During the discussion, it was suggested that Administrator Frank Walsh contact the architect to discuss the issue and determine the next steps.
Other projects were suggested for the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services building, the Branch County Health Department, the Michigan Indigent Defense Commission building, the Annex Building and the Branch County Courthouse.
