FREMONT, IN (WTVB) – A Fremont, Indiana man was arrested by the Steuben County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday in connection with at least a pair of break ins in the Buena Vista area of Jamestown Township.
Deputies were summoned to a residence on Jimmerson Lake on a report of an unwanted person inside who was confronted by the homeowner.
They were already investigating another complaint in the area.
The man left the residence but was apprehended a short time later.
28-year-old Dustin Allen Coleman was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Steuben County Jail on two charges of residential entry.
The Sheriff’s Office has been investigating a rash of residential burglaries in the Buena Vista area that have occurred since February.
Coleman was being held in the Steuben County Jail on a $13,000 bond.
The Sheriff’s Department says they are still investigating the cases.
Additional suspects and charges may be sought.
