Clifton Leroy Otis, 90, of Coldwater, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2020 at Drew’s Place
of Coldwater.
A funeral service will be held Friday, February 28, 2020 at 12:00 PM noon at Dutcher Funeral
Home in Coldwater. Interment will follow at Lester Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, February
28, 2020 from 11:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home.
Clifton was born September 29, 1929 in Coldwater to Morris and Mable (Johnson) Otis. He was
a graduate of Coldwater High School and continued on to honorably serve his country during
the Korean conflict in the United States Army. He was a farmer his whole life, but Cliff also had
worked at Acorn, Acme Belt, Yukon Manufacturing all in Quincy as well as Litchfield Products
and eventually retiring from what is now Real Alloy in Coldwater. Cliff enjoyed cutting wood,
farming, fishing, and just the outdoors in general.
Survivors include his sisters, Rosella (Jack) Luse of Hudson, NC; Doris (Benjamin) Lounds of
Coldwater; his brothers, Clayton Otis of Goodrich, MI; Lyle (Joyce) Otis of Coldwater; and his
loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Leonard Otis.
