Branch County Road Commission is seeking a Mechanic to repair and maintain all vehicles and equipment owned by the road commission.

Essential duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to, maintain a valid Michigan Operators License, CDL, Class B with air brakes, and a DOT physical.  Must be able to troubleshoot and repair diesel and gas engine, computer-controlled systems, transmission, clutch, differential, hydraulic and load sense systems, 12 & 24 volt electrical systems, wheels, tires and air brakes.

Perform preventative maintenance inspections, repair and fabricate body, cab and suspension systems, welding and fabrication with welder and cutting with acetylene/oxygen torch and plasma cutter.

Education/Experience-vocational school or equivalent with 3 years related experience or 5 year related experience as a skilled mechanic.  Starting pay is $27.67.
