HILLSDALE, MI (WTVB) – A Hillsdale based company that also has a plant in Quincy is expanding with help from the Michigan Strategic Fund.
State Representative Eric Leutheuser of Hillsdale has announced that the Michigan Strategic Fund has approved a $250,000 grant to support the expansion of Paragon Metals Incorporated.
The grant is part of the Michigan Business Development Program.
Paragon Metals plans to invest $20 million after getting several new contracts. The investment is expected to create 50 new jobs.
“I’m thrilled by this announcement,” Representative Leutheuser said. “As our economy continues to improve and our manufacturers gain a more global reach, it’s great to see Michigan companies such as Paragon, growing and competing successfully in their field. I am extremely grateful to Paragon for placing such confidence in the Hillsdale community.”
The Hillsdale company is a global supplier of precision-machined components for automotive and industrial markets. It’s plant in Quincy is located on U.S. 12 on the east edge of the village.
