COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – In boys high school soccer, Coldwater stretched its shutout streak to five straight games with an 8-0 win at home over Parma Western Tuesday. The game ended with 52 seconds to play on the mercy rule.
Jonathan Brownell had three goals in the win. Also scoring single goals were Mohamed Salem, Shaif Ahmed, Nasser Nagi, Shihab Abdulrab, and Ahmed Mohsen. Nasser Nagi also had two assists, with single assists from Mohamed Nagi, Anas Asker, Jacob Knaack, Erik Corona, and Shaif Ahmed.
Balal Nasser made one save in goal, as Coldwater outshot Parma Western 17-1. It was Nasser’s ninth shutout of the season.
The Cardinals improved to 2-1 in the Interstate 8 Conference and 11-2 overall. They will play at Jackson Northwest Thursday.
