ALLEN PARK, MI (WTVB) – The Detroit Lions returned to practice yesterday as they prepare for their preseason home opener against the New York Giants Friday.
Backup quarterback Jake Rudock, who was hit hard during Detroit’s loss in Oakland Friday, took part in a two-minute drill and completed 11-of 13 passes and ended the drive with a touchdown.
Defensive end Ziggy Ansah worked out with the first-team defense yesterday. Ansah came off the physically unable to perform list last week, but did not appear in the game against the Raiders.
Safety Stefan McClure, linebacker Chad Meredith and running back Dwayne Washington did not participate in practice.
