LANSING, MI (WTVB) – In boys high school basketball, the Coldwater Cardinals won their eighth straight game and improved to 9-1 Tuesday night as they defeated Lansing Everett 75-62 at Everett High School’s Magic Johnson Gymnasium.
For the second straight night, Coldwater used a strong third quarter to establish control of the game. The Cardinals led 36-33 at the half and then outscored Everett 22-14 in the third quarter. Gage McGuire led Coldwater with a game-high 22 points. He also had seven rebounds and five assists. Brady Beckhusen had 18 points and seven rebounds while Dylan Targgart had 17 points and nine rebounds.
Coldwater and Everett split the underclassmen games. The Cardinals won the J.V. game 51-49. Leading scorers for Coldwater were Dennis Winger win 17 points and Noah Waterbury with 13 points while Tyler Scherer had eight points and 12 rebounds. Everett won the freshman game 41-20.

Bronson rallied from a 20-8 first quarter deficit as they improved to 7-3. Four Vikings finished in double figures. Ethan Cossairt led the Vikings with 18 points, Dominic Kelly had 11 points while both Courtney Salesman and Wyatt Heal had 10 points.

Quincy drops to 6-3 while Olivet remains undefeated. The Eagles are now 10-0. Will Dunn led the Orioles with 26 points.
