COLDATER, MI (WTVB) – With the Fourth of July falling on a Wednesday this year, fireworks shows around Branch County will be spread out over the next week.
The annual fireworks show in Union City will once again take place on the eve of Independence Day. As always, the show Tuesday night will be at Union City High School’s Alumni Field.
Coldwater’s fireworks will be held on the Fourth of July at Heritage Park.
The Marble Chain of Lake fireworks are scheduled to be held next Friday, July 6. The show was originally scheduled for this Sunday but was changed after concerns were raised about having it before a work day for many on Monday.
Fireworks are scheduled to take place next Saturday night over Coldwater Lake and Lake George.
There will be no fireworks at Gilead Lake after four persons were injured last year in an explosion at the public access site as they were putting on the fireworks show.
Bronson fireworks will once again take place on the opening night of Polish Festival Days July 19.
