KALAMAZOO, MI (WTVB) – In girls high school basketball, the Coldwater Lady Cardinals advanced to the Class A regional championship game at Kalamazoo Loy Norrix Tuesday night with a convincing 61-38 won over Okemos. Coldwater jumped out to a 19-5 lead after the first quarter and never looked back as they built their lead to 36-11 at halftime.
Carlee Crabtree poured in a game high 23 points and added five rebounds and five assists. Tyler Scheid scored 11 points and had seven rebounds. Malorie Rzepka added 10 points, seven rebounds and nine assists. Samantha Rodesiler scored nine points and Emilee Smoker had eight points and six rebounds.
Coldwater improves to 22-2 and will face second ranked ranked and 23-0 East Lansing at 7:00 p.m.Thursday at Kalamazoo Loy Norrix. East Lansing advanced to the regional final with a 64-59 victory over Kalamazoo Central. Thursdays winner advances to the quarterfinals next Tuesday at DeWitt High School.

Niles Brandywine 36, Bronson 33
Bronson’s season came to an end Tuesday as Niles Brandywine rallied from a nine point deficit in the second half to defeat the Vikings 36-33. The Vikings led 21-17 at halftime and were up 28-19 late in the third quarter before Brandywine scored the next 11 points to take a 30-28 lead.
Bronson could not get their offense on track in the final quarter and several three point shot attempts to tie the game in the dying seconds were off the mark. Kiera Lasky led the Vikings with 11 points as Bronson finished 17-7.
