COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for their country will be honored during Memorial Day ceremonies throughout Branch County Monday.
The Coldwater American Legion will host an open house Monday at 7:30 a.m., followed by a program at the Four Corners at 8:30 a.m. A parade through downtown Coldwater will follow the ceremony.
The Lost At Sea Dedication will be held near the U.S. 12 bridge along with other ceremonies in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
The Gathering of Flags War Memorial ceremony on Flag Hill will start at 10:30 a.m., which will be followed by a luncheon at the Coldwater American Legion.
The Bronson American Legion will be holding their annual Memorial Day ceremony at 9:30 a.m. at the Bronson Memorial Park. The service will then proceed to the Bronson Cemetery for a ceremony at 10:00 a.m..
The Quincy American Legion Post will be hosting Quincy’s annual Memorial Day on Monday. The parade will start at 11:00 a.m. at the Quincy American Legion. It will then head west on U.S. 12 to West Street.
The 49th annual Union City Memorial Day Parade will start at the Union City High School parking lot at 10:30 a.m. It will go through downtown Union City and end at Riverside Cemetery. The parade will pause at the North Broadway Street Bridge for a ceremony to honor the Navy and Coast Guard.
The parade will pause again for wreath placement at the Civil War Memorial at the First Congregational Church.
