EAST LANSING, MI (WTVB) – Farmers in the St. Joseph River watershed are being reminded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture that they have until November 2, 2018, to submit applications for the first selection of 2019 conservation funds.
Branch, St. Joseph, Calhoun and Hillsdale counties are included in the watershed.
Applications for financial assistance through the Regional Conservation Partnership Program should be submitted to local USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service offices.
Farmers are encouraged to begin the application process as soon as possible.
Landowners and agricultural producers should make an appointment with their local Natural Resources Conservation Service office as soon as possible.
