WASHINGTON D.C. (WTVB) – Seventh District Congressman Tim Walberg is among four members of Congress from Michigan who are co-sponsoring bipartisan legislation that would urge the EPA and other federal agencies to cooperate with states when a PFAS contamination takes place, particularly when federal installations are involved.
Congressman Fred Upton says that not only means helping foot the bill but accepting local standards.
The legislation is being co-sponsored by Republicans Walberg and Upton, as well as Democrats Dan Kildee and Debbie Dingell. Upton hopes to get it passed before the end of the session this December.
