COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A pair of proposed Branch County road projects are in line to get federal funds in Fiscal Year 2020.
According to the Michigan Department of Transportation website, a roundabout will be constructed at Michigan Avenue and State Street on the northeast side of Coldwater.
The $414,000 project will be funded mostly through the Highway Safety Improvement Program. A total of $372,600 will come from the federal program. A local match of $41,400 will be provided by the Branch County Road Commission.
Meanwhile, the High Risk Rural Roads program will provide $162,900 for resurfacing work on Southern Road between Whaley and Flint Roads. Slopes will also be flattened as part of the project. The local match will be $18,100.
