BURR OAK, MI (WTVB) – A Go Fund Me campaign has been created on behalf of a man who died Tuesday night in a St. Joseph County traffic crash.
56-year-old Shawn Lane of Burr Oak lost his life in the crash which took place on Middle Colon Road near Kibloski Road north of Sturgis.
Lane was an employee of St. Joseph Community Co-op’s powder recycling crew. He had recently moved back home with his parents to help care for his father who had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease.
The organizer of the GoFundMe page is hoping to raise $2,500.
The money will be used to cover funeral expenses. If there is any left over, it will be held to help Lane’s mother pay someone to help take care of her husband.
