CAMDEN, NJ (WTVB) – In college basketball, number-seven Michigan visits Rutgers tonight. The Wolverines are looking to rebound after their three-game winning streak was snapped following a 74-59 loss to Iowa Friday.
U of M is 20-2 overall and 9-2 in the Big Ten.
Number-11 Michigan State is on the road tonight to take on Illinois. The Spartans have dropped their last two games, including a 79-75 loss to Indiana Saturday.
MSU has a 18-4 record and is 9-2 in conference play.
The top-four are still the same in this week’s Top-25 Coaches’ Poll. Tennessee remains first after receiving all 32 first-place votes. The Volunteers have won 16 in-a-row since their lone loss to Kansas November 23rd. The Vols are 20-and-1 on the season, including 8-and-0 in SEC play.
Duke, Virginia and Gonzaga remain second through fourth, with Kentucky now fifth. Nevada, Michigan, North Carolina, Marquette and Virginia Tech round out the top-10.
North Carolina State and Maryland dropped from the rankings this week and were replaced by Cincinnati and Florida State.
