DETROIT, MI (WTVB) – The Pistons used a 41-point first quarter to roll to a 120-103 win over the Knicks. Andre Drummond led the Pistons with 29 points and 20 rebounds. Blake Griffin added 26. Reggie Jackson also chipped in 20 for Detroit, which has won four of its last five. Dennis Smith Jr. led the Knicks with 31 points. DeAndre Jordan added 14 points and 11 rebounds for New York, which has lost 15 straight.
Meanwhile, veteran NBA guard Wayne Ellington could land in Motown. ESPN reports he’s closing in on a one-year contract with the Pistons. Ellington was waived by the Suns after being acquired from the Heat. He’ll officially become a free agent once he clears waivers this weekend. Ellington is expected to help fill the void left by the trade of Reggie Bullock to the Lakers.
