BOSTON, MA (WTVB) – Former Detroit Tigers television play-by-play broadcaster Mario Impemba is the latest to go from the Tigers to the Boston Red Sox. Impemba was fired at the end of last season after an altercation with broadcast partner Rod Allen, who was also let go.
The Boston Globe reports he will be joining the radio team for the defending World Series champions, joining former Tigers general manager Dave Dombrowski, outfielder J.D. Martinez, and pitchers Rick Porcello and David Price in Boston.
