COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – In boys high school basketball, five Coldwater players scored in double figures as the Cardinals defeated Jackson Northwest 74-68 in an Interstate 8 game Tuesday night at the Coach Floyd Eby Gymnasium.
Gage McGuire led the Cardinals with 23 points and 16 rebounds. Spencer Rodesiler had 13 points, five assists and three steals, Ethan Crabtree scored 12 points and dished out four assists, Dylan Targgart had 11 points and eight rebounds and Brandon Downs had 10 points.
The Cardinals are now 7-1 overall and 4-0 in the Interstate 8.
JV game—Jackson Northwest 59, Coldwater 44 DeAndre Douglas led Coldwater with 11 points.
Freshman game—Coldwater 46, Jackson Northwest 44 Jett Galloway made a pair of foul shots with 15 seconds left to win the game for the Cardinals.

Will Dunn became only the third player in Quincy High School history to go over 1,000 career points as he poured in 30 points Tuesday night to help the Quincy Orioles defeat arch-rival 55-46 in a Big Eight Conference game. Dunn also grabbed 12 rebounds and had two blocked shots as the Orioles improved to 9-0 overall and 5-0 in the conference.
Jordan Nelson added eight points and six rebounds for Quincy.
Larson Kever scored 24 points and grabbed 15 rebounds as Union City won at Springport 51-43. Kever also dished out six assists and had four steals. Carson Stanton added 12 points while Kyle Johnson had eight points. Brendon Stuchell had six rebounds and six assists.
The Chargers are now 5-3 overall and 3-1 in the Big 8.
The first Michigan Associated Press boys basketball for this season is out and Quincy is ranked ninth in Division III. Camden-Frontier is ranked fourth, Athens is ranked 12th and Pittsford is 16th in Division IV.
Marshall got an honorable mention in Division II.
