LOWELL, MI (WTVB) – In high school gymnastics, Coldwater’s “A” team tallied 130.9 points and finished fourth out of 11 teams at the Lowell Invitational on Saturday in their fourth meet in eight days. Rockford claimed the title followed by Bloomfield Hills and the host team Lowell.
The Cardinals “B” team scored 115 points on the day, just a few points shy of a team qualifier on their own.
Four Cardinals, Leah Goodwin, Erica Rodgers, Layla Schoch, and Abby Travelbee, finished the day on the awards stand, bringing home medals for their talents on the vault and bars.
Goodwin won the Division One title in the vault with a score of nine. Schoch was third in the division one uneven bars.
