QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – Quincy High School’s Will Dunn has earned the Michigan Army National Guard “Performance of the Week” award through the Michigan High School Athletic Association.
Dunn earned the honor after he went over 1,000 career points in a game against Reading on January eighth.
The 6-foot-8 junior forward had 30 points and 12 rebounds to lead Quincy past Reading 55-46.
He became just the third player in the history of the boys program at Quincy to go over 1,000 career points.
Dunn is averaging 25.2 points, 12.1 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 3.4 blocks and 1.2 steals per game as the Orioles have compiled a 9-0 record and are ranked eighth in the state in Division Three.
He is also shooting 55 percent from the floor and is 42 percent of his 3-point tries. Heading into Friday night’s game against Concord, Dunn has 1,026 career points, trailing only 1995 graduate Jeff Bell (1,071 points) and 2003 grad Dominic Lopez (1,707) on the school’s all-time scoring list.
