COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Board of Commissioners formally approved the hiring of two more former 911 dispatchers Tuesday to fill in at Branch County Central Dispatch on a temporary basis.
Cindy Kochendorfer and Nancy Marson would be temporary contract employees. They would be employed for no more than 160 calendar days at a rate of $22.53 per hour with no benefits.
They were hired under the same terms that former dispatcher Denny Braucker was brought back at.
The return of the former dispatchers will give 911 some scheduling flexibility while three new dispatchers go through their training.
Branch County 911 Central Dispatch was faced with being down to just six dispatchers recently as three dispatchers left for other positions in county government since last October.
