TOLEDO, OH (WTVB) – Detroit Tigers outfielder JaCoby Jones is on a rehab assignment with Triple-A Toledo as he works his way back to Detroit’s lineup.
Jones has been sidelined with a lower back strain and is expected to return to the Tigers later this week.
Second baseman Josh Harrison has had a setback in his comeback from surgery on his left hamstring, which will delay his rehab assignment.
Pitching prospect Casey Mize allowed two runs on three hits in four innings for Class-A Advanced Lakeland yesterday. Mize was placed on the Injured List last month with inflammation in his shoulder and may be on track to rejoin Double-A Erie for his next start.
