PORTAGE, MI (WTVB) – Marshall’s run in the Michigan High School Athletic Association girls soccer tournament came to an end in the Division Two semifinals Tuesday night as they lost to Grand Rapids Forest Hills Northern 2-1 in a shootout. The match was played at Portage Northern High School.
Forest Hills Northern won 3-2 on penalty kicks and advanced to the state finals for the fourth straight year. They will face Bloomfield Hills Marian for the state title Friday afternoon in East Lansing.
The Division Three state title game on Friday will pit Grand Rapids South Christian against Essexville Garber.
The Division One and Four semifinals will be played this evening.

After Tuesday’s quarterfinals, the semifinals in the M.H.S.A.A. girls softball tournament are now set for Thursday and Friday in East Lansing.
