COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The locally owned and operated Sears Hometown Store at 352 South Willowbrook Road is in the process of liquidating their entire stock as the store is scheduled to close July 19, 2019.
The store has been open for nearly a dozen years and has four employees.
A posting on the store’s web site says, “Store in liquidation. All items on sale. Everything must go.”
Sears filed for Chapter 11 protection last October after a prolonged decline.
The Coldwater store was not associated with other Sears stores that had closed in recent months around the country.
USA Today reported in April that the Hometown stores had a six percent decline in sales at stores open for at least a year in the 2018 fiscal period.
