GREENSBORIO, NC (WTVB) – Coldwater High School’s Dylan Targgart won a national championship and set a new Michigan record in the shot put Saturday at the New Balance National Outdoors Championships in Greensboro, North Carolina..
On his final attempt, Targgart recorded a distance of 69 feet, 4 1/4 inches. The meet featured some of the best high school track athletes from around the country.
Targgart won state championships in the shot put and discus two weeks ago.
