COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – New computers, upgraded high speed fiber internet, staff training, and enhanced security are just a few of the major technology upgrades happening this summer at St. Charles Borromeo Elementary School in Coldwater.
The significant upgrades to information technology and infrastructure are being made possible by the Supianoski Technology Engagement Program, part of the Bernard and Minna Supianoski Trust. The goal of the trust, which is now in its third year, is to provide the school with targeted and impactful improvement. Bernard Supianoski was a graduate of St. Charles High School.
The information technology upgrades include new Chromebooks for each student in grades fifth through eighth and new iPads for students in preschool through fourth grade. In addition, all school teachers will receive new laptops along with dedicated training sessions held throughout the summer.
