NEW YORK, NY (WTVB) – The Detroit Red Wings begin a five-game road trip tonight against the Rangers in New York.
The Red Wings snapped a four-game losing streak with a 2-1 win over the New York Islanders Saturday.
Detroit will visit St. Louis, Las Vegas and San Jose before wrapping up the trip in Buffalo next Thursday.
The Red Wings have signed center Chase Pearson to a two-year, entry-level contract. Pearson was originally selected by Detroit in the fifth round of the 2015 NHL Draft and has spent the last three seasons at the University of Maine.
He will join the AHL’s Grand Rapids Griffins later this week on an amateur tryout contract, with the deal he signed with Detroit set to begin next season.
