COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Dr. Robert W. Browne Recreation Center in Coldwater is a very busy place these days.
City Manager Keith Baker reported to the Coldwater City Council Monday night that 182 youngsters are registered for Saturday youth basketball, which is 40 more than last year.
In addition, Century Bank and Trust, Southern Michigan Bank & Trust, and Clemens Food Group have renewed court sponsorships for over $45,000 which will support the maintenance and equipment reserve for the Browne Recreation Center.
Youth tennis and youth floor hockey have started for the youngsters, and Indoor youth soccer starts Thursday. Free yoga is being offered to the community thanks to the sponsorship of Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility and Rehabilitation.
Baker says the courts at the Browne Recreation Center are full every night during the week until closing time at 10:00 p.m..
With the weather turning colder, pickleball players and walkers have come inside, also.
