CLEVELAND, OH (WTVB) – Roberto Perez and Jordan Luplow each drove in a pair of runs as the Cleveland Indians beat the Detroit Tigers 7-2 Tuesday night.
Oscar Mercado contributed a solo homer and Yasiel Puig had three hits and drove in a run for the Tribe, which has won 15 straight against the Tigers. Adam Plutko pitched six innings of two-run ball for the win.
Dawel Lugo homered while Grayson Greiner went 2-for-3 for Detroit. Zac Reininger gave up four runs in two-plus innings to take the loss.
The Tigers have dropped five-of their last seven games.
Spencer Turnbull gets the start for Detroit tonight, while Cleveland counters with Aaron Civale.
