COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A brief power outage Monday morning for about 1,000 Coldwater Board of Public Utility customers is being blamed on an animal.
CBPU Director Jeff Budd says a raccoon got into the Garfield Street sub station even though they have taken measures to keep animals away from their equipment.
The outage took place at about 3:30 a.m.
Crews were able to make repairs and power was restored around a half hour later.
