JACKSONVILLE, FL (WTVB) – The Indiana Hoosiers blew a 13-point lead in the final five minutes as they lost to Tennessee 23-22 at the Gator Bowl in Jacksonville. The Vols scored two touchdowns over a span of 30 seconds to put Indiana down by one.
Kicker Logan Justus missed a 52-yard-field goal with 2:12 to play that would have put the Hoosiers ahead. Indiana fell to 8-and-5 and has not won a bowl game since the 1991 Copper Bowl.
Desmond Ridder ran for 105 yards and three touchdowns and threw for one more as Cincinnati routed Boston College 38-6 in the Birmingham Bowl.
The Bearcats finish the year at 11-and-3 while the Eagles end at 6-and-7.
