COLDWATER – (WTVB) – A ceremonial ribbon cutting and open house will be held for the new Michigan State Housing Development Authority modular home at 74 Thompson Blvd. Thursday afternoon at 2:00 p.m..
Coldwater City Manager Keith Baker says representatives from MSHDA will be on hand to tour the completed home.
The home is being financed by a re-payable grant through the Michigan State Housing Development Authority.
Coldwater was the first community in the state to receive funding through the COL MOD program since it met the necessary criteria of having a workforce housing shortage, is an income-eligible community and has available sites for in-fill or new construction.
The house was manufactured by the General Housing Corporation in Bay City. The home has a site-built two-car garage, porch and concrete patio.
Baker says persons interested in possibly purchasing the home can contact the City to arrange a showing.
