UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – The Union City Rotary Club says the community’s annual fireworks show will go on as scheduled on July 3 but there will be social distancing guidelines as required by the State of Michigan due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The public will be permitted to enter Alumni Field. There will be no field games. The concession stand and restrooms will not be available.
The rules are subject to change depending on if there will be any changes announced by the state before the holiday.
The Union City High School and Middle School parking lots will open at 9:00 p.m. on July 3rd to view the fireworks. Those who attend are asked to follow social distancing recommendations and wear masks when required.
Donations containers for the fireworks are available at various local businesses. Donations will also be collected by Rotary Club members on the night of the fireworks.
