COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The price for a gallon of gas in Michigan is once again above $4.00.
AAA Michigan says the average price is up 20-cents a gallon in the past week to $4.15 since the price of oil rose following a restart of the war between the U.S. and Iran. The price is up 11-cents from last month and is 99-cents more than last year.
Around the area, Branch County has an average of $4.21 per gallon, it’s $4.12 per gllon in Hillsdale County, and St. Joseph County has some of the lowest pump prices in the state at $4.08
Indiana’s average price is $3.35 per gallon, with the average in Steuben County slightly under that at $3.30 per gallon.
For the first time in nearly a month the national average checks in at $4.00 per gallon because of a sharp rise in oil prices over the weekend.
Crude was up to $84.69 per barrel this morning.
