COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – If your home has been affected by the flooding this week, the Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency is offering some tips to protect you and your family.
The flood waters can contaminate food and water, which can cause illness.
There are other dangers as well, like carbon monoxide poisoning, mold growth, electrical and fire hazards.
Sanitation and hygiene are very important during and after a flood.
Environmental Health Director Paul Andriacchi says you should take all flooding seriously and follow tips to protect your family.
