COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Winter Storm Warning issued by the National Weather Service beginning at 7 pm Saturday has now been extended until 7 am Monday. The NWS says blowing and drifting snowm, especially on east-west roads, will be a major factor this morning.
All schools in the area are closed Monday. Governmental agencies, like the Branch County Courthouse, Branch-Hillsdale-St Joseph District Health Agency, and Coldwater City Hall are also closed Monday. City plow crews began their snow clean-up work at 2 am Monday. Branch County Road Commission crews plowed until dark Sunday, and are scheduled to be back on the county roads at 5 am. County trucks plowed I-69 and U.S. 12 throughout the night.
