TEKONSHA, MI (WTVB) – No names have yet been released as authorities continue to investigate a fatal crash and at least for now they are still blaming a slippery road surface for the death of a driver at about 5AM Thursday along Old 27 in Tekonsha Township, just north of the Branch County line. They say it appears the victim’s 4-door sedan went out of control on the ice and slid across the centerline and was struck by an oncoming pick-up truck.
The 46-year-old man from Tekonsha who was killed was trapped and died in the wreckage. The other driver of the Ford F250 suffered only minor injuries.
