COLDWATER (WTVB) – Lovers of literature, reading and libraries were saddened to learn of last week’s passing of Phyllis Rosenberg of Coldwater on Wednesday at the age of 87 at the Community Health Center of Branch County. Phyllis was the librarian for the Branch County Library, and later Director of the Coldwater Public Library and eventually the Branch District Library. She worked for the Library from 1972 until her retirement in 1995. Phyllis led the restoration and addition of the library and established it as a district library system. She was an avid reader and a founding member of the Branch County Literacy Council, as well as serving as a board member and tutor after her retirement.
A service for Phyllis Rosenberg will be held this Saturday, February 21, at 2:15 PM at the Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater. The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 12:15 PM.
